Introducing the new PointDash

We’re excited to announce the launch of the completely reimagined PointDash—everything you love about PointDash, and so much more.

Two years ago, we made a bold decision: to completely rearchitect our cloud platform from the ground up. Why? To build a stronger foundation for current and future services, enhance security as part of our commitment to continuous proactive security, and deliver a dramatically improved user experience.

Starting from a blank canvas wasn’t easy—especially as a startup. We rethought everything: how we store and process data, our system architecture, our security approach, and how you interact with our services. The result is a modern, enterprise-ready platform designed to scale and deliver even greater value to our customers.

UI 4 - A complete redesign

With UI 4, we didn’t just refresh the interface—we completely reimagined it from scratch, guided by customer feedback. Every interaction has been redesigned to feel faster, more intuitive, and more enjoyable. The navigation is now simplified, with core menu items that make it easier to find what you need without unnecessary clutter. Beyond functionality, UI 4 introduces new subtle animations and responsive design that makes the experience feel modern and engaging. This isn’t just a new look—it’s a new way to interact with PointDash.

Groups – Flexible Student and Staff Management

We’ve consolidated cohorts and classes into Groups, giving schools the flexibility to create as many combinations as they need. Whether it’s cohorts, classes, clubs, or extracurricular activities, Groups make it easy to organize students in ways that work best for your school. But we didn’t stop there—staff can now create their own groups too. For example, a teacher can set up additional groups for class projects, making it easier to award points to specific teams. This flexibility empowers schools and educators to manage their communities in a way that truly fits their needs.

Smarter Point Awarding

The point-awarding process has been completely reengineered to provide better support for Groups and individual student selection. This means you can now award points to entire groups or handpick students with ease. This update was one of the most requested features from our customers, and we’re thrilled to deliver a solution that makes rewarding positive behavior faster, simpler, and more powerful than ever before.

Part of a Bigger Vision

The new PointDash is just one piece of the evolving Acenci ecosystem. Alongside this release, we’re introducing Acenci Account, which will replace our current identity platform, Acenci ID. While separate from PointDash, Acenci Account will power secure, seamless access across all Acenci services, with features like:

• Multi-tenant user support
• Advanced MFA options (including Security Keys and Passkeys)
• Upcoming organisation-level security policies for greater control over your data
