Our story
Started with a notebook and a better idea.
Acenci grew from a simple observation: important processes were being managed manually when technology could do it better, faster, and more transparently.
In 2021, we observed a widespread problem: schools were still tallying house points by hand — in notebooks. It wasn't just inefficient; it was a missed opportunity to build something that could genuinely improve school culture. The problem wasn't unique to one school. Across Australia, communities were relying on temporary, manual workarounds where better alternatives simply didn't exist.
Over the next year, we designed, built, and piloted PointDash — a platform purpose-built to track house points and build positive school culture. The response from schools was strong and clear. PointDash launched commercially, and Acenci was born.
Today, Acenci continues to grow with the same principle at its core: build privacy-first, user-friendly technology that connects people and solves real problems. We are proud to build Australian software — developed locally in Brisbane, backed by real people, and committed to our customers for the long term.
